In season 7 we saw Ed Sheeran portraying a Lannister soldier, and make an appearance in a scene with Maisie Williams (Arya Stark) where they shared some fire-roasted rabbit and blackberry wine. And this got Game of Thrones theorists talking, of Ed's true cameo purpose. Although, Sheeran's appearance in the show didn't add that much to the series itself other than that he got a fantastic voice. Which he showcased in the same scene where he sang "Hands of Gold." However, Ed Sheeran's surprise performance in Game of Thrones season 7 obviously got some bookmakers thinking.
